We are happy to offer all our guests complimentary shuttle service to get them safely to/from the venue.
The pick-up/drop-off location is the Best Western Plus Hood River Inn, located at 1108 E Marina Dr, Hood River, OR 97031. Please meet in the hotel lobby at 2:30 PM. Staff will direct you to the shuttles in the parking lot, and the shuttle will depart at 3:00 PM.
You do not have to be staying at the Best Western Plus in order to use the complimentary shuttle - however, if you plan on driving to the hotel and leaving your car there, you cannot park in the Best Western Plus parking lot. Instead, you can leave your car at the Hood River Park & Ride, located at OR-35 & Old Columbia River Dr, Hood River, OR 97031 (click hyperlink to see location).

Guests are also welcome to drive to the wedding independently instead of taking the complimentary shuttles. The address to Mt. Hood Organic Farms is 7130 Smullin Drive, Mt. Hood, OR 97041. It’s about a 25-minute drive from Hood River — you’ll take Highway 35 South and exit off of Smullin Drive.
Parking: There is free and secure parking at Mt Hood Organic Farms - although, there are a finite number of parking spaces in the venues lot, so the venue encourages guests to carpool if possible. If for any reason drivers are reluctant or unable to drive home on wedding night, the venue will allow cars from our party to remain in the lot overnight and up until 10am the next day (Monday, Sept. 28).

Announcement & request
For those of you with young children (under 12), we kindly ask that you arrange child care for Sunday's wedding events. We understand that coordinating child care can be challenging and expensive, and we know this may not be feasible for everyone. If attending our wedding depends on bringing your children with you, please know that we completely understand. Having you celebrate with us is what matters most, and we would much rather have your family there than miss the chance to celebrate together.
Attire — what to wear to the wedding
The dress code for our wedding is formal attire. Also, though it is by no means required, we encourage guests to choose colors from our wedding palette – shown below - to wear or incorporate into your refined formalwear looks.
Our wedding palette: marigold, sage; beige, soft pink, ivory, and black
For men/masculine looks, we suggest suits or shirts & trousers in dark or neutral tones, tie optional. A tailored, dark colored suit (black, brown) or even a classic tuxedo will perfectly match the timeless elegance aesthetic we’re going for, as will suits in light, breathable fabrics (i.e., linen, cotton, lightweight wool) and neutral tones. If desired, guests can accessorize in our color palette, for example, with ties, pocket squares, etc. See examples below:
For women/feminine looks, we recommend refined cocktail dresses, modern gowns (midi or floor-length), and elegant pantsuits. See examples below:
Weather — Dinner/dancing will take place indoors, but the ceremony and cocktail hour are held outside, so please dress accordingly. Over the past 5 years, weather in this area on September 27 has had an average high of roughly 80° F during the day and an average low of 55° F at night. Of course, there’s always the possibility for an atypical forecast this year - we recommend checking the forecast one week before the wedding. We will also update the weather forecast on the FAQ page one week before the wedding.
Lastly, wear comfortable shoes - i.e., comfortable dress shoes, block heels, flats, etc. You’ll likely be walking through orchards and uneven terrain—worth it for the setting, but not ideal for stilettos (although heels are still totally doable if desired). If you have mobility concerns, please let us know ahead of time, there is assistance available.
About wedding gifts
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for, and no additional gifts are expected. For those who would like to give a gift, a monetary contribution toward our future home would be deeply appreciated. (Checks are best!) We hope to save for a down payment over the next couple of years, and every contribution, no matter the size, will help us build our life together. We also love art (whether your own or from an artist you enjoy) and other thoughtful, creative gifts.
